The Midnight Oil is a late-night social hobbies lounge, serving coffees, teas, Italian sodas, with a bar and cozy seating, or you can rent space at our game tables ($10 a seat for the day) to make use of our library of boardgames, roleplaying games, and arts supplies. There is a free library of queer literature and self-help books if you'd like to just roll up on the sofa with a good read. We have signs you can take to your table to communicate if you are looking for other players or if you'd like to be by yourself. We have daily themes and weekly events and are always changing.

Reservations & Contact

The table rental fee is $10 per seat for the entire day. This also gives you access to our library of boardgames, TTRPG accessories and books (though you can also just cozy up to a book without renting a table), and arts & crafts supplies.

If you would like to reserve a table, organize a meetup, or get a pick-up game on the schedule, just email the date, time, and party size to themidnightoil@farboco.com.

Reservations are for tables of 5 or more and have a 15 minute grace period if you are running late. There is no additional fee for reservations but we ask that reservations are made at least a week in advance.

If you would like to host a public game (one we get on the board) you do not have to pay for your seat and you get one free drink as long as the game happens.

Parking A

The lower lot is completely fair game, and is free after 6:00pm and on Sundays. As is all street parking.

Parking B

As long as the upper lot's gate is raised you may park there, even in the reserved spots, but we share that parking with Norbu so we ask that people use the lower lot first when Norbu's open sign is on.
